Book a parking spot

Before you start

• Sign in and confirm your email address.
• Your first booking needs guest verification (driving licence, vehicle registration and vehicle insurance), unless you've completed a booking before. See Profile and verification.
• Add your vehicle under My vehicles so the host knows what to expect and your plate can be checked when you arrive.

Book

1. Open the listing and find the booking card.
2. Choose the Date and Start Time. Times are in the space's local time (Eastern), shown next to Start Time.
3. Under How long, pick 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 8 h or All day. If you came from a search, these are filled in already.
4. Wait for the availability check. Free for your selected window means you can go ahead. If you see Not available for this window, pick another time or spot.
5. If the listing has more than one spot, choose one under Select Spot.
6. Choose your Vehicle. If you leave it on Select, licence plate verification is skipped at check-in.
7. Optional: select Promo code, wallet, repeat to add a promo code, use wallet credit or repeat the booking.
8. Check the total, which includes the service fee and HST, and select Continue to payment.

Pay

You go to Stripe's secure checkout. Your spot is held for 30 minutes from when you reach payment. Pay by card, or with Apple Pay or Google Pay on supported devices. The listing's cancellation terms are shown next to the Pay button.

Left checkout without paying? On the page you return to, select Retry payment before the timer runs out, or Change booking details to release the spot and start again.

After you book

Your confirmation page shows:

• Booking Confirmed! with your start and end times and the price breakdown.
• Your Access PIN and a QR code.
• The host's Parking instructions, if they've added any.
• Get Directions, Add to Calendar, Open wallet pass and View Booking Details.

You also get a Booking confirmed email with your receipt and the cancellation terms. Keep it as your copy of the booking.

On a listing that uses requests, you'll see Request sent — awaiting host approval instead. You're only charged if the host accepts. See Instant book and booking requests.

Can't book?

• Verify your identity to complete your first booking: finish guest verification, then try again.
• Please verify your email before booking: open the confirmation link we emailed you.
• You can't book your own listing: this space is yours.
• Parkeas only takes bookings in Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge.
