Become a host
Hosting on Parkeas lets you rent out a driveway, garage, parking lot spot or storage space to guests. You use the same Parkeas account for booking parking and for hosting.
Who can host
- You've reached the age of majority in your province and can agree to the Parkeas Terms of Service.
- You have the right to rent out the space. If you rent, live in a condo or have a property manager, check whether you need their permission first.
- The space is in Kitchener, Waterloo or Cambridge, Ontario. Parkeas only accepts listings in these three cities right now.
Turn on hosting
If you're creating a new account
- Go to Sign up.
- Under What brings you here?, choose I have a space to rent out (or Both if you also want to book parking).
- Finish creating your account and confirm your email address.
If you already have a Parkeas account
- Sign in and select Switch to Hosting.
- On the Start hosting on Parkeas screen, select Turn on hosting. You can keep booking parking as usual.
You can also open your account menu on your dashboard and choose Become a Host. This turns hosting on and opens the new listing form straight away.

Once hosting is on, Switch to Hosting takes you to your Host Hub and Switch to Parking takes you back.
What you need
- A confirmed email address. You'll be asked to confirm it before you can use your dashboard.
- ID verification. You can build a listing before you're verified, but you can't publish it until your ID is verified. Go to Profile and find Identity verification. Upload a Canadian driver's licence or provincial photo ID (front and back) or a Canadian passport photo page, plus a selfie. Files must be JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 5 MB each.
- A bank account connected through Stripe so you can be paid. You can do this before or after you publish. Your earnings wait for you until it's set up. See Set up payouts with Stripe.
Adding a phone number is optional. You may see a banner asking you to add and verify one.
The Become a Host page
The Become a Host page (parkeas.com/become-a-host) explains what you can list and how hosting works. Its List Your Space and Start Hosting buttons open the listing form. If you're not signed in, you'll be asked to log in first.
