Approve or decline booking requests
You only get booking requests if a listing's Booking type is set to Ask me first. With Book instantly (the default), bookings are confirmed as soon as the guest pays.
How a request works
- The guest picks their time and pays. Their card is authorized (put on hold), but not charged yet.
- You get a notification in Parkeas and an email telling you there's a request waiting for your approval.
- You have 24 hours to answer.
Answer a request
- Go to Bookings in the host menu. Requests appear at the top under Requests waiting on you, and in the Needs you tab.
- Each request shows the guest's name, the listing and slot, their licence plate, how long they want to book, what you'd earn if you approve, and how much time is left.
- Select Approve or Decline.
- Approve: the guest's card is charged and the booking is confirmed. Parkeas creates the guest's PIN and lets them know.
- Decline: confirm with Yes, decline. The hold on the guest's card is released and they're told they haven't been charged.

You can also answer from Calendar: select the request on the calendar and use Approve or Decline in the details panel.
Requests for several dates
A guest can request a recurring booking that covers several dates. You answer it once. You'll see Approve all or Decline all with the number of dates, and your answer applies to every date in the request.
If you don't answer in time
If you don't respond within 24 hours, the request expires on its own. The hold on the guest's card is released, the guest is told the request expired, and nothing is charged. Expired and declined requests don't cost you a fee.

Tips
- Answer quickly. Guests who wait may book somewhere else.
- If you'd rather not approve each booking, select Set up instant book above your requests. It takes you to Listings, where you can edit a listing and change Booking type to Book instantly under Booking rules.
- Declining a request isn't the same as cancelling a confirmed booking. To cancel a booking that's already confirmed, see Cancelling a booking as a host.
