Host fees and earnings

Listing a space on Parkeas is free. Parkeas takes a fee when you earn from a booking.

The host fee

Parkeas keeps 10% of the booking price on each booking. The booking price is what your rates come to for the time booked. The fee covers card processing through Stripe, fraud protection and running the platform.

You can see the fee on every booking. On Bookings, click a booking to expand it. Under Payment you'll see Booking price, the platform fee and You earn.

What guests pay

Guests pay more than your booking price, but the extra isn't part of your earnings:

Your host pages show your booking price, not the guest's total.

Worked example

Example only. These numbers show how the fees work. They aren't a promise of what you'll earn.

A guest books your driveway for 4 hours at $5 an hour.

Amount
Booking price (4 × $5)$20.00
Host fee (10%)−$2.00
You earn$18.00

The guest pays $20.00 + $1.40 service fee ($1.00 + $0.40) + $2.78 HST = $24.18. None of the $4.18 extra is yours or comes out of your earnings.

If this is your only completed booking that week, your Monday payout is $18.00 − $2.25 payout fee = $15.75.

Storage example (example only): a unit at $120 a month booked for 15 days has a booking price of $60.00. After the 10% fee you earn $54.00.
